29905104Rock with you (Risking It All #0.5) by Rachel Lacey

Romance, ebook, 82 pages; published August 2, 2016 by Forever Books; source: publisher

Do love a good “trapped with a hot guy during an ice storm” story, especially when it involves a baker and a rock star. Enjoyed this one but, dang it was short! Too short to fully develop (and fall for) the characters. 3.5 stars

25614812The Scam (Fox and O’Hare #4) by Janet Evanovich and Lee Goldman

Mystery, hardcover, 286 pages; published September 15, 2015 by Bantam; source: publisher

Highly enjoyable if a bit fluffy (but I like fluffy). Fox is a wily con man working with straightlaced FBI Kate, pulling her into crazy schemes along with a wacky cast of characters. Typical fun Evanovich. 4 stars

29500858Now That It’s You by Tawna Fenske

Romance, ebook, 313 pages; expected publication September 6, 2016 by Montlake Publishing; source: publisher

Solid story but not nearly as fun as Fenske’s other stories. The whole legal battle over Meg’s cookbook made me so mad, especially as she caved/sacrificed time after time. Whole story kind of made me sad. 3 stars

26848737Made For Sin by Stacia Kane

Paranormal romance, ebook, 266 pages; expected publication August 31, 2016 by Loveswept; source: publisher

Was so excited for this story b/c Kane is a fave author but sorely disappointed overall. Did not like/couldn’t root for the antihero main character cursed with a demon sharing his brainspace, and entire story is told from his POV. 2 stars

26192467First Comes Love by Emily Griffin

Contemporary fiction, hardcover; 380 pages; published June 28, 2016 by Ballentine Books; source: publisher

Enjoyable story if you don’t stop to analyze too much. If you do, you’ll find cliched, rather miserable characters who hate one another and dropped plot points (especially on the romance front). 2 stars

24453083Claimed (Outlaws #1) by Elle Kennedy

Post-Apocalyptic romance, paperback, 368 pages; published October 6, 2015 by Signet; source: publisher

You’d think that a post-apocalyptic world would keep people busy enough that they wouldn’t be thinking about sex 24/7 …and you’d be wrong. Not enough plot to keep my attention; too much like another series (which I loved). 2.5 stars

  1. I’m completely distracted by the speedo dude in your sidebar lol

I might try the Evanovich. I’ve always wanted to read something by her but the other series is so far along already!
