I’ve had a pretty darned good run of stories lately *knocks on wood* including a bunch of Harlequin romances. They’re like brain candy — sweet and kind of addictive.
A Lover’s Vow (The Grangers #3) by Brenda Jackson
(Romance; paperback, 416 pages; expected publication April 28, 2015 by Mira; source: publisher)
Bad boy Dalton, baby of the Grangers, falls for a woman who doesn’t play. Ah, a reformed rake. Love! Plus, Brenda Jackson knows how to write family.
Part-Time Cowboy (Copper Ridge #1) by Maisey Yates
(Romance; paperback, 400 pages; published April 1, 2015 by HQN Books; source: publisher)
Picked this up, expecting a cutsie cowboy story. Surprised myself by falling for Mr. Crankypants Eli and rooting for him and Sadie to get together.
Echo Lake (Swift River Valley #4) by Carla Neggers
(Romance; paperback, 352 pages; published January 27, 2015 by Mira; source: publisher)
My favorite character in this story was the puppy (no surprise, as I’m a crazy dog lady). The story was cute, a little less romance than I’d expected.
Taking Fire (Shadow Warriors #7) by Lindsay McKenna
(Paperback, 384 pages; published February 24, 2015 by HQN Books; source: publisher)
I do love a good military romance, especially when it’s a double-your-pleasure type. *fans self over hot SEAL dude* *fist bump to badass Marine sniper chick*
Make Me Lose Control (Cabin Fever #2) by Christie Ridgway
(Paperback, 384 pages; published December 30, 2014 by Harlequin HQN; source: publisher)
Hot for teacher! Heh. Love how Jace wants to do good by his kid, London. Wish there was a bit more chemistry btw Jace and Shay. Liked London’s POV in the story.
