Deadline Mini-Break

First off, I do want to apologize for not commenting or replying lately. Stress served up with a side of depression have teamed up to make life a tad challenging so, instead of fighting it, I’m taking a wee bloggy break for the next week. (My poor little brain likes to overanalyze things which makes me feel even worse because it can’t understand why I’m not doing what I think I should be doing, which stresses me out even more. *sigh* Darned that Midwestern work ethic paired with Catholic guilt! *shakes fist*) Our yearbook deadline is in five school days and we need to get the next edition of the newspaper out before Spring Break at the end of the month…so, yeah. I’m swamped. (Not that I don’t love my job! I do. But this time of year is a challenge.)

Love you all! Miss having the time to blog and chat about awesome books and such. As soon as this yearbook is out the door, I’m back. In the meantime, I’ll leave you with this lonely cowboy from my favorite photographer, Michael Stokes:

(I’m telling you, if you appreciate the male form in any way, the talented Mr. Stokes really knows how to show it off!)

Wish I could come help you and by help I mean go out and drink (cause I am nice like that)! Trust me that I understand–I have one more coming up in mid-April sometimes (hopefully around the 9th but maybe the week after).

We will need to schedule a chat and wine night! 🙂

  3. Mary, I don’t know what you’re talking about. You’re always so wonderful about visiting everyone, I’m here after a crazy amount of time away. (LIFE SO BUSY, AND EVEN CRAZIER FOR THE NEXT MONTH, IN DENIAL.) I feel guilty when I’m away too, but breaks are definitely necessary sometimes! I hope your yearbook project goes smoothly, I’ll see you on the flip side.
