Hot Cover Alert, Mini-Review and Giveaway: Nalini Singh’s Rock AddictionRock Addiction by Nalini Singh
Series: Rock Kiss #1

Genres: Romance
Pages: 312

A bad boy wrapped in a sexy, muscled, grown-up package might be worth a little risk…

Molly Webster has always followed the rules. After an ugly scandal tore apart her childhood and made her the focus of the media’s harsh spotlight, she vowed to live an ordinary life. No fame. No impropriety. No pain. Then she meets Zachary Fox, a tattooed bad boy rocker with a voice like whiskey and sin, and a touch that could become an addiction.

A one-night stand with the hottest rock star on the planet, that’s all it was meant to be…

Fox promises scorching heat and dangerous pleasure, coaxing Molly to extend their one-night stand into a one-month fling. After that, he’ll be gone forever, his life never again intersecting with her own. Sex and sin and sensual indulgence, all with an expiration date. No ties, no regrets. Too late, Molly realizes it isn’t only her body that’s become addicted to Fox, but her heart…

So, the fabulously talented Nalini Singh got a wild hair and decided to go totally rock ‘n roll and contemporary with her latest offering. The story of Molly, the Shy Librarian and Fox, the Super-Hot Rock God starts out with some insta lust, as Molly drools about Fox and Fox pretends not to see her at the party, until she leaves and then he stalks her. While that doesn’t sound very sexy, Fox oozes sex appeal and, really, he’s more than just hot for her, he wants a monogamous relationship with her. A huge step for the Rock God.

Shy Molly blossoms under Fox’s love and attention, gaining the strength to deal with her father’s very public scandal back when she was younger, a scandal that rocked her world and destroyed her confidence. Fox understands that Molly has no desire to be a public figure, something she’d definitely be if she became permanently attached to a rock star so he treats her like spun glass, coaxing her out of her shell and helping her build the confidence to deal with the public spotlight.

And, besides the sweet love affair, there’s lots of sex. Lots and lots. And Fox, he’s *really* good. All the practice from the beginning of his music career certainly benefits Molly. While this story dragged on a bit at the end, there was plenty to love about this first installment of what promises to be a very hot series. (I’m particularly curious about Molly’s friend, Charlotte, and the T-Rex…)

  1. I have yet to read this author but I think I am going to try her other big series. I think this sounds hot and fun but lots and lots of sex… well I can only handle so many sex scenes in a book before I start skimming.

  2. Yay, Mary – I’m so glad you enjoyed Rock Addiction as well! I think the one aspect I enjoyed the most, besides all the smexy times, was how from the moment Fox laid eyes on Molly, you knew she had already won him over! I loved the fun rock ‘n’ roll atmopshere as well. And T-Rex – yep … I need to know this guys story as well. This was an intense, sexy, fun read! Love the teasers too 🙂

  3. WHOA.This book is uber appealing. I haven’t read anything by this author but I love those rocker romances. HOWEVER, I think your statement about it dragging out at the end probably refers to the Big Break, which you know frustrates me. But sounds like, it ends well (Please tell me if it doesn’t!) and is worth the effort…
