As much as I adore this series, I really dislike this cover. The title treatment is good, as it’s consistent with the others but the colors of orchid purple and pinkish red are just not thrilling me. And, seriously, someone needs to get poor Jessica a huge sandwich. I’m sure running around like a crazy woman ever since she changed into the only female werewolf has burned mucho calories but, dear lord, you can see her breastbones. And does she even have enough muscle to hold that gun for long? I mean, come on. Let’s make this chick, who’s supposedly a bad-assed werewolf who can hold her own against some major bad guys, athletic at least. Her wolf form has got to be emaciated and, if she is, there’s no way she can kick any ass of any kind. Not even a fuzzy bunny.
This series though? Two thumbs up.
