Top Off Tuesday: FERAL HEAT by Jennifer Ashley

Started by FeliciaChristi and Amanda, Top Off Tuesday is where a bunch of us share hot-hot-hot book covers (some we’ve read, some we’ve just drooled on). Head over to Felicia’s blog to share your ToT link and see what everyone else is swooning over.

Rock hard abs and lovely arms barely save this cover — it’s too busy! There’s the cat, the neon whatever in the background, whatever the cat is sitting on, the design behind her name and the poor hot guy — missing half his face and a nip — shoved almost off the cover. Still, hot Shifter from Shiftertown (seriously with that name?).

FERAL HEAT (Shifters Unbound #5.5) by JenniferAshley

Publisher: InterMix

Jace Warden is sent to the Shiftertown in Austin to find a way to free all Shifters from their Collars. But pulling off the Collars can cause Shifters to go mad or kill them outright.

In Austin, Jace meets Deni Rowe, a wolf Shifter with troubles of her own—she was deliberately run down in the road, and while her body has healed, she still has episodes of total memory loss during which she retreats into her pure animal self.

Jace has never met anyone like Deni. Courageous and beautiful, she volunteers to help him test the Collar removal. And as Deni and Jace work together, they feel the mate bond begin. But can Jace help Deni believe she can heal enough to be anyone’s true mate?

  1. That is a busy cover but his abs have my full and undivided attention. *stares blatantly* I would move to a place called Shiftertown if that man was waiting for me. *starts packing* Maybe they offer cruises there?

  2. Ha! I barely noticed the extra stuff in the cover until you pointed it out. I am so easily distracted by hot naked men. But now that I see them, I agree that this is a very busy cover. hehee

  3. I do enjoy a good shifter book, but yeah–this cover does sort of feel like a puzzle someone assembled when they were drunk, hah. Maybe it’s an experiment to see if we’ll buy the book anyway, even if he does only have one nipple!

  4. I don’t know why but I’m really not a fan of books with animals on the cover. The background is definitely too busy there’s way too much going on here but yes, the guy is definitely a hot one!

  5. I agree that the cover is too busy and it seems weird they cut him off. It looks like he has a nice face too. I do like the cat on the cover though!

  6. Oh dear. Yeah there is a LOT going on in that cover. It’s almost like a photo collage or montage of sorts, which doesn’t really work. I also got confused about the description and the collar removal. But the story sounds fun with some trauma thrown in. I get excited every Tuesday to find out what you picked for us!
