Top Off Tuesday: SLOW SUMMER BURN by Elisabeth Barrett

Posted 20 August, 2013 | Mary @ TheBookSwarm | | 13 Comments

Started by FeliciaChristi and Amanda, Top Off Tuesday is where a bunch of us share hot-hot-hot book covers (some we’ve read, some we’ve just drooled on). Head over to Felicia’s blog to share your ToT link and see what everyone else is swooning over.

Oh, summertime. I love you. Especially when hot men take off their shirts, pose and flex because they’re…hot. (Though does anyone else think that blob of sand creeping up his ab-o-licious abs is photoshopped or is that just me?)

SLOW SUMMER BURN (Star Harbor #4) by Elisabeth Barrett

Available now (August 2013)

Val Grayson has been a strong, steady presence in his younger brothers’ lives. Now that the other Grayson men have settled down, Val is able to focus on himself … and he has gorgeous, privileged Cameron Stahl in his sights. Cam has just opened her second antique store in Star Harbor and is more than receptive to sexy-as-sin Val’s advances. But Cam’s family isn’t too keen on their precious daughter dating a DEA agent. It’ll be up to Val to convince Cam–and himself–that he’s worth it. And man, is he worth it!

  1. I can’t decide about the sand blob. It does set the scene well, but it’s distracting too. Better than a bunch of chest hair though. That’s not my thing.

  2. Hahaha I didn’t even notice the sand blob until you pointed it out! I was, ahem, distracted. It does look like it was an afterthought though doesn’t it? I can just see the marketing team going “It’s summer at the beach! He should be sandy!”. Love it:)

  3. That looks like a hand print on his abs? Anyway, I always look forward to visiting your site on Tuesdays and seeing what eyecandy you have for us. I’m still laughing over that were-hedgehog! I’d like to take this guy, I mean, book, to the beach. 🙂

  4. Yeah, that is definitely some weirdly shaped photoshopped sand, but I somehow can’t seem to focus on it for too long because there’s just so much muscle happening in the rest of the cover. YUM!
