Enter the dark realm of Nocturna in Jeaniene Frost’s redhot tale, where blisteringly sexy Raphael dominates the demons of a lawless dimension and tries to help a beautiful young woman avenge her cousin’s disappearance.
I seem to be on a roll with novellas lately — at least this one has a hot dude in leather pants! Though, I’m of the opinion that, if you’re going to wear a thick chain, you should have some chest hair to back it up.
This was a quick and very enjoyable novella, throwing me back into the world of Nocturna, a dimension of never-ending darkness, filled with half-demons, fallen angels and soul-sucking full demons. Ruler of this particular bit of Nocturna, Raphael is always there when Mara crosses, lurking. But she’s unsure she can trust him — what if he’s a full demon? What if he’s behind the disappearances? There’s some fabulous chemistry between Mara and Raphael as they work to figure out who’s he bad guy. And Raphael really isn’t what he seems…
