Waiting on…SIEGE AND STORM by Leigh Bardugo

Did you all read SHADOW AND BONE? Such an amazing fantasy novel that I blew through in one day. So waiting for this one has been trying my patience. And then, last week, bloggers started crowing about getting SIEGE AND STORM in the mail and the green-eyed monster made an appearance. I WANT!! WHY AREN’T I SPECIAL ENOUGH TO GET THIS?!? *sigh*

Oh, well. They say waiting just makes it all the sweeter. But it doesn’t. It just frustrates. So here I sit. Waiting.

There’s no official cover at the moment but since they’re already sending out ARCs of this one, I just couldn’t resist.
YA Fantasy
448 pages, hardcover
Expected publication: June 4, 2013
Publisher: Henry Holt and Co.

Darkness never dies.

Hunted across the True Sea, haunted by the lives she took on the Fold, Alina must try to make a life with Mal in an unfamiliar land, all while keeping her identity as the Sun Summoner a secret. But she can’t outrun her past or her destiny for long.

The Darkling has emerged from the Shadow Fold with a terrifying new power and a dangerous plan that will test the very boundaries of the natural world. With the help of a notorious privateer, Alina returns to the country she abandoned, determined to fight the forces gathering against Ravka. But as her power grows, Alina slips deeper into the Darkling’s game of forbidden magic, and farther away from Mal. Somehow, she will have to choose between her country, her power, and the love she always thought would guide her–or risk losing everything to the oncoming storm.

Waiting on is hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine.

  1. I was super lucky and got this one at ALA. And you can TOTALLY borrow my copy! It’s on my read very soon list cause I’m DYING to read it, but has to wait for my HAVE TO READ NOW list. But you can totally borrow it! I’ll shoot you an email once I do to make sure you didn’t already get it. Feel free to remind me too, cause it’s possible I’ll forget.

  4. Hahah, the green-eyed monster visits us bloggers so often! I haven’t started this series yet, but obviously I have to. It says ‘cover not final’ and hopefully they’ll turn it into something eye-catching because this is just bleh.

  5. Ha! This is one of the books I’m jealous of too. Usually when I’m jealous of other bloggers getting a book that means I’m REALLY going to enjoy that book, so fingers crossed that Siege and Storm lives up to Shadow and Bone. I can only imagine it will. Leigh Bardugo is so awesome!
