Waiting on…DESTINED!
YA Fantasy (mythology)
Due out November 17th 2011 from Mae Day Publishing
When Psyche receives a prophecy gone horribly wrong, she learns that even the most beautiful girl in Greece can have a hideous future. Her fate? Fall in love with the one creature even the gods fear.

As she feels herself slipping closer into the arms of the prophecy, Psyche must choose between the terrifyingly tender touch she feels almost powerless to resist and the one constant she’s come to expect out of life: you cannot escape what is destined.

Destined is a fresh and heartachingly romantic retelling of the Cupid & Psyche myth from debut novelist, Jessie Harrell.

Oh, yay! Another mythology! And I do really like the story of Cupid and Psyche. A mismatched couple, for sure, but there’s just something about their love story that I really enjoy. Plus, mythology thrills me. Oh, and isn’t that a pretty cover? I like the creaminess of it and the swirly letters.

  1. I love Greek Mythology. I’m not overly familiar with the Cupid and Psyche story but I’m going to read this one for sure! Awesome pick!

  2. I just finished “Radiant Darkness” by Emily Whitman, a retelling of Persephone and Hades, and loved it! Now I seem to want to read all of the YA books that retell Greek Mythology stories, so thanks for the heads up on this one!
